INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR 96-PORT FIBRETERMINATION SHELF (96-FTS)

 

1.  INTRODUCTION

 

1.1  This instruction manual provides acomprehensive description of function and                

    operation of 96-port Fibre Termination Shelf(96-FTS). 

1.2 The FTS provides terminating facilities for the single mode opticalfiber cables

    pulled into a building.

1.3 The FTS also enables patching to be carried out between these terminated

    single mode optical fibre cables or between these cables andtransmission

    equipment.

 

2.   DESIGN FEATURES

 

2.1 The FTS is made of aluminum alloy epoxy powder coating. 

2.2 The FTS is designed to fit both standard 19“ or 23” rack mount.    

2.3 For interchangeability purposes,the dimensions of both the FTS and FSSis 

    same. 

2.4 All activities include termination of pigtails,patching and thereplacement of 

    faulty SC couplings,can performed at the front of the shelf. 

2.5 The adaptor panel allow 90° tip-down when fully pull-out for easywork.
